Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reportage in Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases has led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these incidents. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell worked as a anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor as well as a weekday correspondent.
