Julie Chen Moonves, who was one the original hosts and moderators for The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winner talk show), returned in August for the 22nd season. She was a journalist prior to becoming a host. Her desire was to write. Actually, the show brought the show an Emmy. Also, she won one Emmy award for outstanding hosting of a talk show. Her background in news made her a natural for the switch from The Talk, which examines current events and issues through the eyes of five female hosts.Chen Moonves served as co-host of CBS News' weekday morning show The Early Show from 2002 through 2010. Her prior roles included anchoring the CBS Morning News and The Early Show. Following 9/11, she traveled to Cairo to conduct an interesting and eye-opening interview. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker for Anatomy of a Riot (the Columbia du-Pont-winning Primetime Special that focused on how the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
